Why did I feel it was interesting to interview Randel? Randel is a passionate and purpose-driven humanitarian whose work with Swiss4Afrika embodies a bold commitment to addressing systemic inequities and empowering marginalized communities. As the founder of this organization, he has taken on the challenges of assisting minority groups in South Africa who are often overlooked by government policies, corporate philanthropy, and international non-profit organizations. His deep understanding of the socio-economic barriers faced by these communities stems from his hands-on experience with projects like the Soli Deo Gloria Care Centre, a shelter dedicated to supporting those affected by South Africa’s Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policies.
